40 Second Inflatable Shelter

DSB 40 second Inflatable Shelters are used by the emergency services, or by whoever may need a portable swiftly-erected emergency shelter.   

Their uses include, but are not limited to, casualty protection, on-site HQ, decontamination, medical treatment centres, mess halls etc.

These emergency shelters are lightweight, easily transported by two persons, inflate in 40 seconds and offer the maximum possible room for such a small pack size.  The floor can be detached quickly, allowing it to be rapidly placed over a vehicle or other casualty during an emergency situation.

Available in several sizes starting from 4 x 5 metres, they can be inflated from Brigade standard breathing air cylinders, and require no generator or fan to maintain them. When packed, the 4 x 5 m shelter weighs only 55 kg (plus a cylinder).

The inflatable shelter is simple to move even when inflated, yet remains secure when restrained. In high winds for example, it can be secured either with eight tie-downs or, on a hard surface, using its flaps that provide standing for sandbags, water drums etc.  Although the shelter's speed of deployment is a great virtue its endurance is equally impressive, this is due to the quality of its construction, making it quite suitable for long duration incidents. 

The emergency shelters also have service ducts for connecting portable heating, cooling or water units and are suitable for use as a clean room especially in conjunction with the DSB fast inflation shower unit.

Customised Solutions

Each emergency shelter can be supplied as a basic unit, or it can be customised in terms of:

• layout/configuration, eg using internal dividing walls, addition of windows and roof lights, alternative internal linings, addition of signage/logos etc
• ancillary equipment - we can supply a range of equipment, including heating / cooling / water units, generators, shower units, and lighting.
  

Portable Lighting

We can now also supply a range of portable lighting equipment, including the FoxFury NOMAD 4000. This high-output, self-contained unit offers a 30 second set-up, making it ideal for use by first-response teams and/or in conjunction with our emergency shelters.
